Main Ingredients
- 1 cup long-grain rice
- 2 cups water
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon turmeric
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 clove garlic, minced
Heat the olive oil in a saucepan over medium heat.
Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
Add the rice and turmeric, stirring to coat the rice with the oil.
Pour in the water and add the salt. Bring to a boil.
Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 20 minutes or until the rice is tender and the water is absorbed.
Fluff the rice with a fork before serving.
