Traditional Maritime Hodge Podge Recipe

Main Ingredients
- 4 cups New potatoes quartered
- 2 cups Carrots sliced
- 2 cups Green beans trimmed
- 2 cups Peas fresh or frozen
- 1 cup Heavy cream
- 2 tablespoon Butter
- to taste Salt
- to taste Black pepper freshly ground
1. In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the potatoes and carrots, and cook for about 10 minutes.
2. Add the green beans and peas to the pot. Continue cooking until all vegetables are tender, about 10 more minutes.
3. Drain the vegetables and return them to the pot. Add the heavy cream and butter. Stir gently to combine.
4. Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste. Serve hot.
