Ingredients

  • 1 lb Tomatillos, husked and rinsed
  • 1 Jalapeño, stemmed
  • ½ cup Chopped white onion
  • ½ cup Chopped cilantro
  • 1 clove Garlic
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 tablespoon Lime juice

Instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Place the tomatillos and jalapeño on a baking sheet and roast for 10 minutes, or until they are soft and slightly charred.
  3. Transfer the roasted tomatillos and jalapeño to a blender. Add the onion, cilantro, garlic, salt, and lime juice.
  4. Blend until smooth. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
  5. Serve immediately or store in the refrigerator for up to a week.
