Ingredients

  • 1 cup Sugar for caramel
  • 1 can Sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 can Evaporated milk
  • 5 Eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract

Instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the sugar until it becomes a golden caramel. Pour into a baking dish and let it cool.
  3. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, sweetened condensed milk, evaporated milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Pour the mixture over the cooled caramel in the baking dish.
  5. Place the baking dish in a larger pan filled with hot water. Bake in the preheated oven for about 60 minutes, or until set.
  6. Remove from the oven and let it cool. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving.
  7. To serve, run a knife around the edges of the flan and invert onto a plate.
