Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 1 medium Onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 6 cups Fresh Tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Basil
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Oregano
  • ¼ teaspoon Black Pepper

Instructions 

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
  2. Add the chopped onion and cook until translucent, about 5 minutes.
  3. Add the minced garlic and cook for another minute.
  4. Add the chopped tomatoes, salt, sugar, basil, oregano, and black pepper.
  5. Bring to a simmer and cook for 45 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  6. Use an immersion blender to blend the sauce to your desired consistency, if desired.
  7. Serve over cooked spaghetti or your favorite pasta.
