  • 1 cup Milk
  • ¼ cup Vegetable oil

Instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the cornmeal, flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the milk, vegetable oil, and egg.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
  5. Heat a skillet over medium heat and grease it lightly.
  6. Pour the batter into the skillet and spread it evenly.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes or until golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Let it cool slightly before serving.
