  • 1 lb Shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1 cup Cold water
  • 1 large Egg beaten
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 2 cups Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions 

  1. 1. Heat the oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C).
  2. 2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, cold water, beaten egg, baking powder, and salt until smooth.
  3. 3. Dip the shrimp into the batter, allowing any excess to drip off.
  4. 4. Carefully place the battered shrimp into the hot oil and fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes.
  5. 5. Remove the shrimp from the oil and drain on paper towels. Serve immediately.
