Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb Shrimp shells from about 2 pounds of shrimp
  • 1 Onion chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic smashed
  • 1 cup Celery chopped
  • 1 cup Carrots chopped
  • 8 cups Water
  • 2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black peppercorns
  • 2 pcs Bay leaves

Instructions 

  1. 1. In a large pot, combine shrimp shells, onion, garlic, celery, and carrots.
  2. 2. Add water, salt, peppercorns, and bay leaves.
  3. 3. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 45 minutes.
  4. 4. Strain the stock through a fine-mesh strainer.
  5. 5. Use immediately or store in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
