Instructions
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Rinse the duck and pat it dry with paper towels.
Rub the duck with olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic, and thyme.
Place the duck in a roasting pan, breast side up.
Roast the duck in the preheated oven for 90 minutes, basting occasionally with the pan juices.
Check the internal temperature with a meat thermometer; it should read 165°F (74°C).
Let the duck rest for 10 minutes before carving.
