Ingredients

  • 2 cups Cooked pinto beans
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 1 medium Onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Ground cumin
  • ½ teaspoon Salt or to taste
  • ¼ cup Water or as needed

Instructions 

  1. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the chopped onion and cook until translucent, about 5 minutes.
  3. Stir in the minced garlic and ground cumin, cooking for another minute.
  4. Add the cooked pinto beans and mash them with a wooden spoon.
  5. Gradually add water to reach your desired consistency, stirring constantly.
  6. Season with salt to taste and serve warm.
