Ingredients 

Meatballs

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • ½ cup uncooked white rice
  • 1 egg beaten
  • ¼ cup onion finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

Sauce

  • 1 can tomato sauce (15 oz)
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

Instructions 

  1. In a large bowl, mix ground beef, rice, egg, onion, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  2. Shape the mixture into 1 ½ inch meatballs.
  3. In a large skillet, heat a small amount of oil over medium heat. Brown the meatballs on all sides.
  4. In a bowl, mix tomato sauce, water, and Worcestershire sauce. Pour over meatballs in the skillet.
  5. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low. Cover and simmer for 45 minutes, or until meatballs are cooked through and rice is tender.
