Ingredients

  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup unsalted butter softened
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups dark rum
  • 2 cups boiling water

Instructions 

  1. In a medium bowl, cream together the brown sugar, butter, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and salt.
  2. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  3. To make a drink, spoon about 2 tablespoons of the batter into a mug. Pour ¼ cup of rum and ½ cup of boiling water over the batter. Stir well until the batter is dissolved.
  4. Serve hot and enjoy!
