  3. Let the dough rest for 5 minutes.
  4. Divide the dough into 8 equal portions and shape them into balls, then flatten into discs.
  5. Heat the vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  6. Cook the arepas for about 5-7 minutes on each side, until golden brown and cooked through.
