Main Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoon sugar
- 2 cups buttermilk
- 2 eggs separated
- 4 tablespoon butter melted
In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and sugar.
In another bowl, whisk together buttermilk and egg yolks. Add to dry ingredients and mix until combined.
In a separate bowl, beat egg whites until stiff peaks form. Gently fold into batter.
Heat aebleskiver pan over medium heat and brush each cup with melted butter.
Fill each cup about ⅔ full with batter. Cook until bottoms are golden and bubbles form on top, then turn using a skewer or fork.
Cook until golden and cooked through. Serve warm with powdered sugar, jam, or syrup.
